Contracting and Licensing

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2010:

Georgia is no longer a pre-appointment state. Carriers will not appoint an agent until/unless new business is submitted to them. The application process for an agent license will no longer require sponsorship by an insurer. Applications for temporary licenses will still require insurer sponsorship. Paper applications will no longer be accepted, only electronic applications will be accepted. All new resident applicants, excluding active licensees and individuals that apply for reinstatement within 6 months of expiration date, shall be required to submit electronic fingerprints through a vendor selected by the Georgia Insurance Department for a criminal background check. The applicant shall bear the cost for electronic fingerprinting.

For New On-Line Contracting Users:

Please be sure to include who referred you to our company and your Agency Affiliation when asked during the registration process.
Don’t forget to submit the following documents: individual and/or corporate license(s), E&O, voided check, signature page, and legal page.

For Returning On-line Contracting Users:

Remember to resubmit a copy of your current E&O, license(s), and voided check, as these may have changed or been renewed since your last visit.
